Is my logo stored on your server?
No. The file is used only to render the icons and is deleted automatically within one hour. Nothing is retained.
What is a real favicon.ico?
It's a proper ICO container with multiple embedded images (16×16, 32×32, 48×48). Windows and browsers read them as a single file.
Which sizes are generated?
16, 32, 48, 64, 96, 128, 144, 152, 180, 192, 256, 384 and 512 px — plus apple-touch-icon and Android Chrome icons.
Does this work on shared hosting?
Yes. It requires only PHP 8.1+, the GD extension and ZipArchive — standard on cPanel hosting.
Can I use an animated GIF?
Yes. The first frame is used for the generated icons.
